Join the Green County Beef Producers in their Best Burger Contest! 🍔 You can get a card after purchasing a burger at any of the 15 participating restaurants. Choose which burger you think is the best by circling it on the postcard. Receive seven or more stamps from participating locations to be eligible to win prizes! The prizes will be awarded on August 15 at the Green County Beef Producers Steak-Out at the Green County Fairgrounds. 


Beef x Dairy Management Workshops

July 29-August 1

The University of Wisconsin-Madison Division of Extension, in cooperation with the UW-Madison Animal and Dairy Science Department, will be hosting four in-person Beef X Dairy-focused workshops from July 29 – August 1, 2024. These workshops will provide Wisconsin’s dairy producers and cattle feeders with research-based information on nutrition, feedlot management, and carcass composition for beef x dairy crossbred cattle.

Throughout the evening, guests will learn more about several farmers including the farmers at Creamery Creek Farms about the specialized care they give to their animals and the land. This is a unique opportunity to discover Wisconsin agriculture through an exceptional on-farm culinary experience. Guests may explore the taste of Wisconsin’s agricultural diversity from prestigious cheeses, meats, vegetables, and beyond.

Stop by the Beef Tent at the 2024 Wisconsin Farm Technology Days! The Wisconsin Beef Council will be on site with information about the Beef Checkoff as well as beef recipes, cooking, and nutrition information. WBC will also be handing out yard signs that read, "Real beef raised here" with the Beef. It's What's For Dinner. logo for all farmers that are Beef Quality Assurance certified. 


2024 wisconsin hereford tour

The Wisconsin Hereford Association will be hosting the 2024 Wisconsin Hereford Tour on Saturday, August 24, 2024. Stockmanship & Stewardship

The Wisconsin Beef Council successfully secured a Stockmanship and Stewardship regional event in Lancaster August 28-29. Stockmanship & Stewardship is a unique educational experience for cattle producers featuring low-stress cattle handling demonstrations, Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) educational sessions, facility design sessions and industry updates. Producers can become BQA certified, network with fellow cattlemen and women, participate in hands-on demonstrations led by animal handling experts including Curt Pate and Dr. Ron Gill, and learn cutting-edge techniques.
