Tenderloin Steaks with Blue Cheese Butter

Cut: Tenderloin Steak/Filet Mignon
Preparation Time: 5 Minutes
Cook Time: 15 Minutes
Main Ingredients:

 4 beef tenderloin steaks, cut 1-inch thick
 1 tablespoon minced garlic
 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
 1/2 teaspoon cracked pepper
 
 Blue Cheese Butter:
 1 cup crumbled blue cheese
 1/2 cup butter, softened
 1 package (3 oz.) cream cheese
 4 slices cooked bacon
 1 tablespoon snipped fresh chives
 2 teaspoons jalapeno pepper sauce
 1-1/2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice

Directions:
  1. Combine blue cheese, butter, cream cheese, bacon, chives, pepper sauce and lemon juice in large bowl; mix thoroughly. Refrigerate.
  2. Combine garlic, thyme and pepper; press onto beef steaks. Place steaks on grid over medium, ash-covered coals. Grill, uncovered, 13 to 15 minutes for medium rare to medium doneness, turning occasionally. Season with salt and top with butter. Makes 4 servings.
