Spicy Corned Beef Brisket

Main Ingredients:
2 1/2 to 3 1/2 pound boneless corned beef brisket
2 cups onions, chopped
5 garlic cloves, peeled
1 1/2 teaspoon Pickling spice or spice packet in beef package
1 (12 oz) Guinness dark beer
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Place corned beef brisket in large roasting pan. Add onions and garlic. Sprinkle with spices. Pour in the beer. Cover pan tightly with cover or aluminum foil. Cook in 350 degree oven 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 hour or until beef is fork tender. Remove brisket from pan; trim any fat. Carve diagonally across the grain and serve. Side dishes may include cabbage, carrots and potatoes. Brisket is also tasty with a mustard-based sauce served on rye bread.
