Spicy Beef Back Ribs

Cut: Ribs
Preparation Time: 10-20 Minutes
Cook Time: 1 1/4 - 2 hours

Main Ingredients:

5 lbs. beef back ribs, cut into 2-4 rib sections
 1 tbsp. vegetable oil
1-1 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
 1 clove garlic, minced
1-1 1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
 1-1 1/2 cup chili sauce
 1/2 cup water
 3 tbsp. fresh lemon juice
 1/2 tsp. salt
 Grilling spray

Directions:
  1. Heat oil in medium saucepan over medium heat until hot. Add onion, garlic and pepper flakes. Saute 4-5 minutes or until onion is tender. Add chili sauce, water and lemon juice and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes stirring frequently. Season with salt.
  2. Spray grate of outdoor grill and utensils with grilling spray and prepare for indirect grilling.
  3. Place ribs, meat side up, in large foil roasting pan. Pour half of the sauce over ribs and turn to coat. Cover pan tightly with foil and place on medium-heat grill. Close grill lid and cook 1-1 1/2 hours until ribs are fork tender.
  4. Carefully remove roasting pan from grill, remove ribs and place meat side up on grill rack. Baste ribs with remaining sauce and grill uncovered 10-15 minutes, turning and basting once. Makes 6 servings.
