Main Ingredients:
5 lbs. beef back ribs, cut into 2-4 rib sections
1 tbsp. vegetable oil
1-1 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced
1-1 1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
1-1 1/2 cup chili sauce
1/2 cup water
3 tbsp. fresh lemon juice
1/2 tsp. salt
Grilling spray
Directions:
- Heat oil in medium saucepan over medium heat until hot. Add onion, garlic and pepper flakes. Saute 4-5 minutes or until onion is tender. Add chili sauce, water and lemon juice and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes stirring frequently. Season with salt.
- Spray grate of outdoor grill and utensils with grilling spray and prepare for indirect grilling.
- Place ribs, meat side up, in large foil roasting pan. Pour half of the sauce over ribs and turn to coat. Cover pan tightly with foil and place on medium-heat grill. Close grill lid and cook 1-1 1/2 hours until ribs are fork tender.
- Carefully remove roasting pan from grill, remove ribs and place meat side up on grill rack. Baste ribs with remaining sauce and grill uncovered 10-15 minutes, turning and basting once. Makes 6 servings.
