"Dog Gone" Great Bacon Cheeseburger
Cut:
Ground Beef
Preparation Time: 5 Minutes
Cook Time: 15 Minutes

Main Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • ½ tsp. garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp. black pepper
  • 1 tbs. grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 Cheddar cheese sticks
  • 8 strips of bacon
  • 4 steak rolls, buttered and toasted
  • 12 toothpicks, soaked in water before using
Directions:
  1. Combine ground beef, garlic powder, pepper and Parmesan cheese in bowl. Divide into 4 equal sections. Flatten each section into a rectangle just longer than the cheese stick. Place cheese stick down the middle of each rectangle. Fold beef mixture over cheese and roll up to seal both ends and the crease.

  2. Wrap bacon strips around each burger diagonally, starting a piece at one end. Start the second piece in the middle and fasten with toothpicks on both ends and in the middle.

  3. Grill over medium high heat until bacon is crispy and beef is no longer pink. Remove from grill, remove toothpicks and serve on toasted, buttered steak rolls. Makes 4 servings.
