Barbequed Corned Beef Brisket

Cut: Corned Beef Brisket
Preparation Time: 150 to 180 Minutes
Cook Time: 30 minutes

Main Ingredients:

1 corned beef brisket, 2 to 3 pounds

Brisket Barbeque Sauce:

3 tablespoons prepared mustard
 1/2 cup brown sugar
 1/8 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
 2 tablespoons vinegar
 1/4 teaspoon garlic juice

Directions:
  1. Place corned beef brisket in deep kettle and cover with water. Simmer until brisket is fork tender (about one hour per pound). Drain.
  2. Meanwhile, combine ingredients for Brisket Barbeque Sauce. Makes 1/4 cup. Set aside.
  3. Place cooked brisket, fat side up, on an outdoor grill about five inches above white hot coals. Brush with barbeque sauce. Heat brisket on grill about 15 minutes per side or until brisket is heated through. Brush frequently with sauce for flavor and an attractive glaze. Makes 6 to 9 servings.
    Recipe Notes:

Brisket may be water cooked in advance and stored in refrigerator until ready to barbecue.
